Hello Brothers and Co-Workers,
For those of you that do not know me I am a Past Governor of this fine Family Center and I am also a Past Massachusetts/Rhode Island State Association President. I have been an active member of this Lodge for over 15 years. I have assumed the responsibility of Administrator of the Lodge effective August 21, 2013. I look forward to meeting many of you in the Social Quarters and at the planned events that we have scheduled in the upcoming days and months.
Our Lodge looks to you, the member or coworker, to help in building the membership of our Lodge. Please reach out to your friends, friends from work and your neighbors and tell them about the great work your Moose Lodge does in the neighboring communities of Braintree, Quincy and Weymouth. We need to grow in order to keep our volunteer base growing! And through the rewards program of Moose International, if you sponsor TWO new members this year, your dues will be FREE!! So go out there and invite your friends down to participate in one of our many activities held throughout the month. Please see the calendar page for upcoming events. The Board of Officers of the men (LOOM) and women (WOTM) get together once a month to plan out this action packed calendar. If you have an idea for a new event you would like to run or participate in, please feel free to approach any Moose Officer from either Officer Team and give them your suggestions.
We have made a valiant effort to get all the past due and missing key cards activated for all of the membership, this, the last week of August. Please come on down and pick up your card today. If we missed or overlooked any cards, please show your Bar Steward your card and record your Name, MID number, Expiration Date and the six digit number on the back of your existing card. Going forward there is no automated way to update your key card, so once you receive your new dues card, be proud, and show it to the Bar Steward. We will be putting some index cards at the bar for you to put the above listed information on, turn it in and we will promptly move the expiration date to your new date in 2014. Thank you for your patience through this process.
Come on down to the Lodge for the upcoming activities and we will have a great time with fun and volunteerism through fraternalism! We support our Seniors, Scouting, Veterans, Youth Awareness, Safe Surfing and Special Olympics, so we need you to be the faces of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Women of the Moose in our community. Please volunteer for these events as we attend or host them in our community.
